STATUS on local press release of Drama

The Drama Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated to the 2nd STATUS Project partners meeting that took place in Herceg Novi, Montenegro on the 18th & 19th of September 2013.

The Drama Chamber of Commerce and Industry is an organization that has as its main scope of activities the support of the local enterprises in the region of Drama in Northern Greece. Furthermore, by supporting entrepreneurship it supports efforts that contribute to the local development and growth.

As such, we see our role in the STATUS project as an organization that will emphasize on outcomes and activities that have to do with the city and economic and entrepreneurial development. Chamber's main objective is to identify those local authority decisions that involve urban sprawling, development, regeneration, renewal, etc. and how those decisions and activities influence enterprises and entrepreneurial activities. Furthermore, we will examine how enterprise representatives can participate in the early stages of the introduction of changes in the city and urban planning and how they can influence decisions that could contribute to local economic development and growth.

As we implement the STATUS project, we will involve both the planning authorities of our local municipality as well the entrepreneurs and their representatives in an effort to bring added value to a project that has as main objective to create the city of the new ages.
